First Lunch Date...Dim Sum

Susannah had her first lunch date with her girl friend Madeline at Star Kitchen. Susannah enjoyed milk while Madeline noshed on chow fun, avocado, strawberries, a banana, and haw gow.
I love the look on Susannah's face! Things went south when Madeline wanted to get a feel of Susannah's hair. I guess she doesn't like people touching her hair!

Here they are deep in conversation.
Susannah with Madeline's mom Andrea.

Viva Santa Fe

We headed south to Santa Fe over Labor Day for a long weekend with Uncle Dave and Aunt Betsy. Susannah did surprisingly well on the six hour drive down. We only stopped once for a quick 20 minute feeding and diaper change. We enjoyed the many festivities celebrating Santa Fe's 400th birthday.

Susannah LOVES firemen!

SJ and Mom taking a well deserved nap after a long day.
Susannah spent the afternoon relaxing with Aunt Betsy on the deck watching the humming birds feed.

Susannah is ready for solid food...she has been watching us eat for months. Look at her eyeing the roasted chili pepper!! I think we will start with peas and chili peppers second.

Enjoying wine and the beautiful view on the deck.
Sword fighting with corn on the cob...

Enjoying roasted corn with Rhonda, Brice and Lucas.

Overdue post of Mid-September

SJW enjoying her throne. This chair was passed down from her Grandparents Charles Vert and Mary Susannah. At their home it was called the bishops' chair. I guess we should now call it the bishop-ess'es chair or Mrs. bishops' chair or something. Whatever, Susannah's red chair.

I wish I could say our little crumb snatcher was enjoying a summer afternoon drinking wine and eating Italian sandwiches at the Creekside Winery in Evergreen, but she wasn't. Her parents were though, Ha! Susannah is still 'on-the-boob' if ya know what I mean ;) No wine for her until she turns 12...ah...I mean...16.

Sue-J, as she likes to be called on the street, really does like her activity chair. She just wishes she could eat one of those fancy moving parts. I think the teeth are coming soon. (thanks to Cousins Rhonda and Brice and Dara and Gordon fo rthe activity chair(s) Aedan has one too).

Susannah and her dad are reading a book. Knowledge is key, remember that kids. Funny thing is dad can't read and he just looks at the pictures. Trick question: who has more hair?

Happy baby in a striped jumper from her Aunt and Uncle, James and Susan. Hey, wait a minute...James and Susan, Susannah James, Susannah James, James and Susan... their names are the same! Who thought of that?! Crazy Whacky Word Play.
Susannah said 'Who dat in my chair?' come to find out it was cousin Aedan and he wasn't moving. SJ was only upset for a minute then she realized her mom was wearing a Chinese NE Patriots World Champions t-shirt and she was happy again. Go Patriots!!! Tom Brady is Dreamy...No boys till your 30 SJ!

5 months and counting

Susannah Turned 5 months a couple of weeks ago. They grow up so fast! She's already applying to college (or saving for it anyway). She said she is modest and wants to have a shirt on at the 6 month shot. We told her in France she can be toppless forever if she wants. She said she is only part french.
